September Life Update 2018

It’s October! Which means Halloween parties, candy, being a month closer to the holidays, and another update! I feel like so far I don’t really get my goals accomplished, but I’m going to keep trying to check things off my goal list. With that being said, let’s get started on my September life update!

As per usual, first I’m going to show you guys the goals I made for September, talk about what I did/didn’t accomplish, and share with you guys my goals for this month.

Unaccomplished Goals

So guys I really wanted to work on my poetry book again, but I just can’t find the time. Not only am I so busy because of school, but my brain is also just exhausted as well and my creative juices aren’t flowing much right now. Hopefully once I’m done with this semester I’ll be able to get back to it. I’m so jealous because my cousin just published his book so I have to get on it. But, If you want to check his book out, you can purchase it here!

Sadly another goal I have yet to accomplish is time management when it comes to my classes. I’m the worst procrastinator and I have a professor who gives so much unnecessary work, that other classes are suffering. I’m still going to try my best to get it together (especially because I kind of have no choice) and pray that I can learn time management because without it and without proper studying time grades suffer (tip for any new college students).

So guys I have not been able to purchase my domain, which I hate. Purchasing my domain will have to take a back burner for now, not because I’m not sure if it’s something I want to do or not, but because I just need the money. If you would like to help support me, I do have a Ko-fi that is available to go towards my poetry book and purchasing my domain.

Let’s just talk about this whole going to bed early and waking up early thing. I will not lie, it’s damn near impossible when you have super late night meetings. I started off pretty good with waking up early to do devotions before school, but it just didn’t work after a while. I wanted to do my devotions before my day started, but I may have to come up with a new plan.

Accomplished Goals

This is more so a list of goals that I at least began or that I partially accomplished (which in my eyes is a start right?) First, developing a workout plan and keeping it going with meal planning didn’t exactly 100% get accomplished. I did meal planning for a week, but that had to be put on the back burner because I don’t have money to buy my own food every week (I live with my grandparents if you didn’t know) so I didn’t want to use up all the food I had. I did start working out though and I’m pretty proud of myself. I still have a lot more work to do with the whole combo of eating healthy and working out, but just how mostly consistent I’ve been thus far with working out is a huge accomplishment.

Again, another partially done goal, which is making a resume/ applying to jobs and getting interviews. I know it’s kind of odd to not go ahead and make the resume, but I haven’t had the time to make one yet (I know, shame on me). I’ve barely had the time or energy to sit down and apply to jobs either, but I have done a few quick online applications. No job interviews yet, but fingers crossed for good things to come.

Goals for October

○ Work on eating healthier/ develop a solid workout schedule

○continue to practice time management and better studying habits

○Drink more water

○work on updating social media’s more for my blog/connect with other bloggers more

○continue working on applying for jobs

○listen to more podcasts in the morning

○Do daily devotions

Did you accomplish the goals you made for last month? What are your October goals?

August Life Update 2018!

We are now in the month of September, which means time is going by way too fast in the year. But, it also means that it’s time to look back at August and see what I did (or didn’t) accomplish!

So let’s recap on the goals I made for August.

august goals2018 for blog

Sad to say, I think over half of these goals were not even started in August. I was able, however to think of more topics for my blog and I’m slowly working on connecting with more blogs. It’s just hard sometimes being the introvert that I am. Can anyone else relate? I started back school in August as well, and if you want to read about that then you can check out that post right here. Because of this, I’ve been very busy and haven’t had the chance to work on my poetry. I hate that this is the case because poetry is something that I love more than anything and I really want to finish my poetry book, but just like other things I love, I have to make the time for it.

Some things I may not have started or accomplished in August, but I did begin them this month. I started job searching, I’m listening to podcasts sometimes when I’m driving to school(when I find solid podcasts I like I’ll make a post with suggestions), and I’m starting to get into meal prepping and I can go to the gym at school now(once I develop a decent routine I can make a post for you guys). Also, in relation to working out, I know I made a post about the 100 day workout challenge(you can read about that here) but things have gone to a halt. I’m not the best at sticking with things, but I really want to try again with it. So keep a look out for an update on that once it happens!

Now that I’ve recapped on August, let’s see what’s to look forward to for the month of September!

Goals For September

♦Make time for my poetry book

♦Develop a consistent workout plan and attempt to keep it going                                                 with meal planning

♦Learn time management when it comes to my classes and studying

♦Make a resume and apply to more jobs/get some interviews

♦Practice going to bed at a decent time and waking up early to do                                               devotions before school

♦Work on purchasing my domain

Life Update For July 2018

Hey everyone! Another month has gone by and a new one has taken its place. People are getting ready for a transition. New transitions means new goals! But first, let’s see what was and wasn’t accomplished for the month of July.

July has been pretty difficult for me. If you want to read about it, then you can check out the post I made discussing it. I didn’t get all of my goals accomplished, but I was able to get some things done in July or at least started.

♦ I started job searching (a post about job searching struggles coming soon)

♦regarding my poetry, I didn’t write as much as I had in mind, but I definitely have gotten further along so I’m happy about that. Sadly, that also does mean that I’m nowhere near close to being done with the book.

♦Because of how life has just dragged me in July, I haven’t worked out nor have I eaten healthy like I wanted to, which I really hate.

♦I DID however remain consistent with posting for you guys, but I also cut down from having a post up everyday to 3 days a week.

♦Try again with working out and eating healthy

♦Get back to listening to a podcast once a week

♦Think of more topics to write about for the blog

♦Connect more with other bloggers

♦ Get to at least a little over 100 pages in my poetry

♦Keep job searching/ hopefully get some job interviews

Check in next month to see my next life update!

Life Update For June 2018

As June has come to an end and July is here, here’s a little update on my life and my plans for July.

June hasn’t really hit off like I thought and not much has gotten done, but for July I have a few plans to kick things into high gear.

-I’ll be job searching more than ever

-I plan on kicking ass in getting poems out more than ever for my book, which some may be posted here and there on here.

-Again relating to my poetry, I plan to be close to done with the poetry book I’m working on so again I’ll be kicking it into high gear.

– I’ll be doing my best on working out more and trying to eat healthy. I found a beginner 8 week work out program for free that I’ll try since it’s been a while

-Lastly I’ll be doing my best to continue to be consistent with posting for you guys and thinking of new topics to write about.

Check in at the end of July/ beginning of August to see my next life update!
